  • Krista Sabados National Partnerships Coordinator

    Prior to working for College Summit, Krista was a tutor for the Educational Opportunities Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), an after school program teacher, and an intern instructor at an outdoor education school. A first generation college student, Krista transferred from a rural community college to UCSC to earn a BA in Sociology. Upon graduating and completing her award-winning research on low-income community college students, she wanted to implement her personal, occupational, and academic experiences to promote meaningful opportunities for low-income students at a systemic level. She moved from California to work for College Summit in DC January 2006.

  • Randy Shillingburg Managing Director of Regional Operations

    A graduate of Fairmont State College (B.A. with honors, 1981), Randy has an extensive professional background in public relations, youth advocacy, community revitalization and team leadership. In the 1980s, he directed community and media relations for Monongahela Power Company and, later, Dominion Resources, where he helped to develop an employee volunteer program that earned recognition from the President of the United States. Since returning to West Virginia in 1996, Randy has focused his attention on "making a difference" in his home state. He has directed communications efforts for Kanawha County Schools and school-private sector collaborations across WV for The Education Alliance, and has also coordinated school-community relations efforts for the WV Department of Education. Randy joined College Summit in July 2004.

  • Oudete Swan Rap Director Training Coordinator

    Oudete Swan is an alumna of College Summit, and graduated from a former partner college, Trinity College in Washington, DC. Shortly after graduation she began working for a training and facilitation company, The Winning Edge. By her third year there, Oudete became the VP of Program Design. Now at College Summit, she is responsible for coordinating the Rap Director training program, the personal and professional development of Rap Directors, as well as other teams within the organization.
