National Staff V-Z

  • Andrea Whitmore Director of Recruiting

A graduate of Wright State University with a B.A. in Communications (1999), Andrea joined College Summit in January of 2008 with an established career in Recruiting and Human Resources Policy and Program Development in the non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors. Her HR career started at a nationally recognized Executive Search Firm in DC, which allowed her the opportunity to develop her recruiting and research skills. The majority of Andrea’s career was spent serving the American public as a Recruitment and Placement Specialist at the U.S. Government Printing Office. Andrea had the fantastic opportunity to create and manage the agency’s College Recruiting programs, where she discovered her passion for working with students. Prior to joining the College Summit team, Andrea worked as a Corporate Recruiter and HR Generalist for a rapidly growing IT start-up company in the health care industry.

  • Keith Woods Assistant Controller

A graduate of South Carolina State University, Keith started his career in the United States Navy. During his service, he navigated a $2 billion destroyer through open oceans. As an accountant for non-profit Blacks in Government, he helped advocate for the approximately three and a half million African Americans working for federal, state, and local governments. He continued pursuit of social change by joining College Summit in December 2006.

  • Lisa Yoffee Senior Grant Writer

After serving as a Writing Coach in the summer of 1999, Lisa served as a volunteer for College Summit doing whatever odd job was necessary, and was quickly hired as the organization’s first Director of Communications. Her assorted accomplishments include starting the SummitUp newsletter, producing several organization videos, recruiting staff for the first big ramp-up of workshops, and facilitating the creation of our logo. Though she left in 2001 to focus on raising her daughter, she continued to be involved with College Summit in a freelance capacity, and is delighted to return to a full-time position on the grants team. Lisa graduated from Sarah Lawrence College (B.A., 1987) and New York University (M.F.A., 1994).
