  • Emily Barrosse Executive Director of Business Development

    Prior to joining College Summit in July of 2007, Emily spent her career in higher educational publishing in Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago and New York. Her experience in publishing included roles in sales, sales management, marketing and editorial. In her most recent role as Vice President, Editor in Chief of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Languages division at McGraw-Hill, she managed the editorial department where they signed, developed and published textbooks and online tools for college student use throughout the world. Emily joined College Summit to pursue her keen interest in making a college education accessible to all students.

  • Chris Brown Project Manager – Site Services

    Chris Brown is the Project Manager for College Summit Site Services where he provides program implementation support to College Summit’s regional offices.  Previously, Chris was a Reynolds Graduate Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship at NYU during which time he also taught entrepreneurship in partnership with the YMCA of Greater New York.  Before graduate school, Chris served as Program Director for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) New York Metro Office.  In 2001, he launched the organization Youth Action, in Johannesburg South Africa.  Chris was a founding staff member for City Year Washington DC and service leader for City Year Boston.  A graduate of Valparaiso University, Chris was awarded with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award, is a member of Coro’s Leadership NY, a Comcast National Leadership Award Winner, and recipient of the Bill & Hillary Clinton Social Innovation Award through the Social Entrepreneurship Incubator designed in partnership with City Year New York.

  • Shaterri Casteel Marketing Coordinator

    After taking a public relations course at Texas A&M University, Shaterri knew from then-on-out she wanted to do pr/marketing for non-profit agencies. Throughout her collegiate career, she would visit low-income high schools to promote the necessity of college to their students. She also was a part of the recruitment team at Texas A&M, whose main focus was to increase diversity on their campus, by increasing minority enrollment. After graduation, she wanted to continue to make a difference in the lives of low-income students, who get lost in the shuffle, so she signed up with the Americorps*Vista program and was offered a marketing assistant position with College Summit in 2006. After her year of service with AmeriCorps, Shaterri joined College Summit as a full-time employee. Shaterri graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2006 with a BBA in marketing and international business.

  • Elisabeth Chasia Development Director, National

    Elisabeth joined College Summit in September 2008 and is responsible for fundraising for the National team.  Elisabeth holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a Masters from Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management.  She has focused her professional and academic career in the areas of corporate philanthropy, sponsorship and non profit management.  She has worked with several different organizations including the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Pittsburgh Opera and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and volunteered and consulted with Habitat for Humanity in Cape Town, South Africa as well as the Warehouse Theater in Washington DC.  She joins us from the Corporate and Foundation Relations team at The Kennedy Center.

  • Julie Cipriani Graphic Designer

    A graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology (B.A., 1998), Julie began her professional career as a graphic designer in Philadelphia working for a few, small marketing and design firms. Looking for a more heart inspiring challenge, she then worked with a playground manufacturer developing and designing a program called Custom Graphics, which inspire imaginary play on the playground. Julie continued on and has worked with a variety of organizations serving our youth, including a National non-profit called KaBOOM!. In 2006 Julie was given the opportunity to join the College Summit team, while residing in PA. With great enthusiasm she hopes to reach out to communities using her design and marketing skills to set forth the mission College Summit.
