Senior-Level Positions

Senior-level Positions are divided into two levels.  Managers and Directors lead a department or specific area, and will generally have at least 5 years of experience with progressive increases in responsibility.  Executives lead a regional office or sector of the national headquarters, and possess a minimum of 10 years of experience.  These positions require previous management experience.

 

Program Director - Colorado

The Program Director manages the daily start-up and implementation of programs in College Summit’s Denver, Colorado Region by executing effective program management, cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing programmatic partners (school districts, high schools, colleges and related community partners), articulating College Summit's mission and program within the community, and working with local and national staff to grow College Summit within the community.

The Program Manager manages the daily start-up and implementation of programs in College Summit’s Northern California Region by executing effective program management, cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing programmatic partners (high schools and related community partners), articulating College Summit's mission and program within the community, and working with local and national staff to grow College Summit within the community.

Regional Development Director - New York

The Regional Development Director provides planning, management and coordination of an assigned Region’s philanthropy and related activities, including communication and outreach to prospects and funders, donor stewardship and other Development activities. In addition, the Regional Development Director is responsible for an assigned Regions’ fund raising activities, including all phases of fund development, corporate, foundations and major gifts. In collaboration with the National grants team, the Regional Development Director provides leadership for development of funding requests and management of reporting to funders in a timely manner. This position coordinates the day-to-day management of regional funder relationships and is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of program funding. Fundraising goals for this position will be assigned by the National Finance Department.

Director of School Partnerships (Sales) - National Office

The Director of School Partnerships works towards achieving College Summit’s ambitious growth goals by implementing an aggressive sales and site expansion strategy. Working with the senior management team, the Director of School Partnerships will provide the tools necessary to scale the volume of students served by developing successful school district partnerships.

Program Manager - Connecticut

The Program Manager plays a critical role in delivering and expanding the College Summit program in Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford, Connecticut public schools. During the 2008-2009 academic year, College Summit will serve over 500 seniors from five high schools throughout the state. The Program Manager leads College Summit’s program implementation in the state by ensuring successful implementation of curriculum and tools at partner high schools, maintaining a strong local presence at summer college workshops, and growing support from community stakeholders including local volunteers, school district officials, and higher education institutions.

Program Director - Miami

The Program Director will manage the daily start-up and implementation of the College Summit program in Miami through effective program management, cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing programmatic partners (high schools and colleges/universities), articulating College Summit's mission and program within the community, and working with local and national staff to grow College Summit within the community. Reporting to the Executive Director, Miami, the Program Director will manage High School Coordinators, the Operations Associate and summer fellows.

The Volunteer Experience

College Summit is seeking exceptionally motivated volunteers for a number of positions to help lead summer workshops. In addition to the benefits the students receive, volunteers leave workshops exhausted but refreshed, having seen the potential of the next generation of leaders. Volunteering at a workshop is a great way to get to know College Summit; in fact, many current employees started out as volunteers.
