Our Hiring Process

Before you apply for a position with College Summit, please be sure to understand what we ask of you, and how our hiring process works. We appreciate your cooperation!

Our Hiring Process

We take our time in the hiring process, in order to make sure that we are hiring the person who is the best for the position and for the team. Generally, the process will take 2-3 months from posting to offer. We know that it can seem long, so we appreciate your patience and your desire to get to know the College Summit team well before you make the important decision of where you would like to work!

Below are the steps of our hiring process:

  • To apply for a position please follow the directions listed at the bottom of the job description. Please keep in mind that each position has different application instructions. You must apply for each position separately.
  • You receive an email confirmation, which does really mean that we received it!
  • If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by our team within one month after your application was submitted.  At this time, we are not able to follow up with all applicants.
  • The hiring manger generally conducts first-round interviews via telephone, and will follow up with all candidates who are interviewed.
  • Second-round interviews are in-person, and typically take place with the hiring manager and their team members.
  • Third-round interviews, where necessary, are generally phone interviews with a higher-level manager.

College Summit is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

What We Ask of You

The Human Assets Team has a few basic guidelines that we ask you to follow in order for us to operate efficiently:

  • Apply for the job that is the best fit for you.  For example, if the job description lists a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience as qualification requirements then we will only interview candidates who meet those qualifications.  If you don't meet the qualifications listed for a position, then please do not apply for that position.
  • Only submit the materials that are requested – generally, we only require a cover letter and resume.
  • Note the job for which you are applying in the subject line so we can process your resume efficiently.
  • Please, no phone calls! You will receive an email notification that your application was received, and will be contacted only if you are selected for an interview.
  • Send your resume only to the Human Assets Team. We ask that you do not submit resumes directly to one of our regional offices or a hiring manger so that we can process your resume efficiently.

Thanks for your interest in employment with College Summit!

The Volunteer Experience

College Summit is seeking exceptionally motivated volunteers for a number of positions to help lead summer workshops. In addition to the benefits the students receive, volunteers leave workshops exhausted but refreshed, having seen the potential of the next generation of leaders. Volunteering at a workshop is a great way to get to know College Summit; in fact, many current employees started out as volunteers.
