For Policy Makers

College Summit, with support from the Citi Foundation, released a new report at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce titled, “Business Engagement in Education: Key Partners for Improving Student Success.” The report is intended to raise awareness of the critical role the business community plays in partnering with schools and other stakeholders to support the learning needs of students and develop America’s future workforce.

College Summit and the Citi Foundation partnered with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Institute for Competitive Workforce (ICW) to release the report at a forum with government, education and business leaders, including Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), to propel this important conversation forward.

“Because companies provide careers that are the basis for prosperity, they are the ones who can still persuasively say to students, ‘If you work hard in school, careers and success will follow,’” said J.B. Schramm, founder and CEO of College Summit. “Our intention for the report is to further the conversation about what companies can do to help young people succeed educationally and economically.”
