White Papers

College Summit has published three White Papers—one with the Aspen Institute, one with the Center for American Progress, and one with the Data Quality Campaign—all of which advocate for policy reforms designed to ensure that all of America’s youth make it to and through college.

Our 2008 White Paper, High Schools as Launch Pads, focused on the importance of building a college-going culture in order to improve student achievement and attainment.

Our 2009 White Paper, The Promise of Proficiency, focused on using postsecondary outcome data to drive high school reform.

Our 2011 White Paper, Seizing the Measurement Moment, reports the progress each state has made in getting data into the hands of parents, educators and policymakers and makes recommendations for all states to ensure they are aligned and making progress on their college and career-ready goals.
