You don't have to be a college counselor to help a student select the right college.  You don't even have to be in the same room to help a student write a winning personal essay for his college application. Without even knowing what the FAFSA is, you can help a student complete this application form for financial assistance and obtain crucial financial support for college.

Your contribution to College Summit ensures that all high school seniors at a partner school receive a curriculum that guides them through every stage of post-high school planning, including goal setting, writing personal statements, completing college applications, planning for financial aid, and completing the FAFSA.  

Sometimes, the only thing keeping a kid from college is access to the right kind of information. Or guidance from knowledgeable sources. Encouragement and support may be all that is needed.  Just a nudge in the right direction at the right time.
