Denver Public Schools, Denver Scholarship Foundation and College Summit-Colorado partnership
College Summit-Colorado has an unprecedented opportunity over the next five years to help Denver Public Schools (DPS) increase their college enrollment rates in a sustainable, affordable way. This includes helping to build the capacity of their high schools to support all of their students in the post secondary planning process. This partnership will launch in 2007-08 with College Summit tools being fully implemented for all seniors at 4 DPS high schools, including CEC Middle College of Denver, Denver Center for International Studies, Montbello and South. Additionally, CS tools will be introduced to the remaining 8 high schools in 2007-08 through a model which includes implementation of 1- 2 classrooms for 25-50 students. In 2008-09 expansion plans include full implementation in all 12 DPS high schools for all 2600+ seniors.
Piton Foundation
College Summit-Colorado was recently awarded a grant to support our partnership with Denver Public Schools and to help DPS increase college enrollment rates district-wide. The foundation supports this partnership as it aligns with the college enrollment goals of DPS as stated in the Denver Plan and includes College Summit tools being implemented for seniors in all twelve DPS high schools. The Piton Foundation’s contribution will help College Summit-Colorado reach our match grant goal from the Rose Community Foundation this year.
Rose Community Foundation
College Summit-Colorado recently received a three-year $300,000 grant from the Rose Community Foundation for program expansion. The grant is designed to match donations from new sources of funding while College Summit expands in Mapleton Public Schools and Denver Public Schools.

By sponsoring a student, you will empower a high potential youth with the tools, information, role models and support to make it to college. Your sponsorship allows a student to participate in a college immersion summer workshop, provides a year-long curriculum and support to a student during their senior year, equips a student to be an influential leader among peers and supplies a student to connect with colleges.
Please consider shining a light on a low-income high potential youth in Metro Denver! We hope that you will support us in our critical work by making a donation today!
