Yakima Rhinehart, Executive Director
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Fayetteville (B.A., 1996). YaKima is a 2004 National Urban Fellow, a prestigious fellowship for public policy and civic leadership. As a former Assistant Director of Intercultural Programs at the College of Charleston, and a consultant for Goodwill, she designed programming to address postsecondary education access and equity concerns. YaKima worked as a higher education lobbyist prior to joining College Summit, and brings a wealth of experience and passion in working with, and advocating for, youth education issues.

Prior to joining College Summit, Jon was an English teacher and has an extensive record of coaching college-bound students in SAT/ACT prep and application essays. He taught American literature and history in a gifted and talented magnet program and Theory of Knowledge in an International Baccalaureate school. Zenobia Edwards, Sr. High School Coordinator
Zenobia Edwards, Ed.D. is president and founder of I AM, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to coaching girls and women of all ages in discovering and using their strengths and abilities to overcome obstacles and achieve success in life by focusing on educational, skill, and personal development? From science teacher to alternative school principal, and business owner, Zenobia’s 11 years of education administration experience has helped propel her as one of the leading authorities on school leadership and program development; especially as it relates to at risk students.
In addition to being an educational consultant and a contributing author of several publications about at-risk students, Zenobia is a gifted musician and song writer. She has composed and performed several original musical vocal compositions including the I Am B.E.A.U.T.F.U.L. theme song as well as an accompanying musical CD for New York Times Best Selling author, Stedman Graham’s book Move without the Ball.
