“This past summer, I had the privilege and honor of watching something magical occur on the campus at West Virginia State University.  I had the opportunity to attend a College Summit workshop.  I had no idea about the ‘power’ that College Summit brings to the college transition process.  In just four days, the students attending this College Summit workshop developed essays that were not only well-written, but also helped to communicate their individuality and the challenges they’ve had to overcome in their lives.  At the workshop, I met students who began to see that they indeed are college material and witnessed a sincere environment of caring and support so that these students could ‘tap the power within.’  I look forward to continuing this partnership [with College Summit] for years to come.”
