St. Louis School District Presents at ED Forum on School Improvement Grants

College Summit Partner District Presents at U.S. Department of Education

On April 26th, the U.S. Department of Education hosted a forum to discuss successful implementation of School Improvement Grants and invited two representatives of the St. Louis Public School system, Superintendent Kelvin Adams and Assistant Superintendent Michael Haggen, to present their experience with school turnarounds. Adams and Haggen discussed their experience creating an Office of Innovation and how it has helped them increase attendance, decrease discipline events and increase performance on Communications and Mathematics assessments.
