Volunteer Opportunities

1. Become a College Summit Writing Coach or College Counselor at a summer workshop - contact Vivien Carter, Director of Programs at vcarter(at)collegesummit.org or at 305-416-4140 ext .Writing coaches and College Counselors dedicate four days of their time to transform High School student’s collegial life. Be a part of that change by volunteering.  Volunteers are needed who speak English, Spanish and Creole.  For more information about volunteering to become a workshop writing coach by visiting the national website.

2. Become an advocate for social change on the local, state or national level to make a difference in promoting college access.  Other volunteer opportunities are available to serve on the fundraising committee sphere-heading a signature event that features the Deloitte Award which selects a partner school to receive an award annually.  Volunteers that serve on a committee will have first opportunity to be considered to serve a two-year term on the CS Florida advisory site board.  To nomination or to express an interest, contact Karen Guy, Regional Director of Development at kguy(at)collegesummit.org or at 305-416-4140 ext 21.

4. College Summit participants (peer leaders or prior program participants) are welcomed to stay involved.  Members of the Florida Alumni Committee are needed as speakers, mentors, advocates, volunteers locally or assisting at future summer workshops. Invest in College Summit by making an online contribution (please indicate Florida Region).  Contributions can also be made payable to College Summit and forwarded to the Florida region branch office at 250 NE 17th Terrace, Miami, FL 33132.
