Great Mentors Needed at MESA!

Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts (MESA), is looking for 35 great mentors this school year.  Interested in mentoring?  Please contact Monica Breed at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)  There is an informational meeting is Monday August 16th from 5:30-6:30pm at MESA in Room 9B2.

Students from our partner schools are now attending one of two of our signature summer workshops at Regis University.  The workshops are being held from July 15 – July 18, 2010 and July 22 – July 25, 2010.  Each workshop will feature high impact student leadership activities, intensive sessions with a college coach, and writing coach during which students complete significant components of a college application.

College Summit Colorado is pleased to announce that we have been selected to receive Impact Investment funding from Mile High United Way.  The funding will be used for our work within their Youth Success Initiative. www.unitedwaydenver.org

Mapleton Public Schools and College Summit hosted a wonderful event with Congressman Jared Polis and education leaders from area school districts.

It was a true honor to award Senator Johnston as one of our strongest allies to both College Summit and to the bettering of our community.

College Summit Counselor named Counselor of the Year.

The 2009 Deloitte Award was presented to Global Leadership Academy for demonstrating improved college-going culture.

One of our incredible alumna as well as a 5-year team member of College Summit Colorado is celebrated.

College Summit sponsored an event titled, "Ed Challenge for Change" with some of the most innovative thinkers in education and industries who support education during both the RNC and the DNC. 

College Summit-Colorado high school partner Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts (MESA) was chosen to receive the region’s first-ever Deloitte College Enrollment Achievement and Innovation Award and received $5,000 at a community meeting on 10/3/08.
