Partner Educators Share Best Practices and Collaborate

Seventeen educators gathered at Studio One in Oakland in the late afternoon on April 20, 2010 to share their successes and challenges in regards to empowering and supporting Peer Leaders to make change and utilizing CSNav, and The Navigator.

Over a catered dinner, educators were able to talk candidly and share their expertise with one another. “I appreciate meeting new people and appreciate working with my team,” said Patricia Arabia of Mandela Law and Public Service Academy.

Though the educators had been in their classrooms and offices all day, they came out to Studio One in the spirit of collaboration and ready to learn.. “I always have a great time with College Summit,” said Robin McCulloch of EXCEL. “Every workshop/meeting has been worth my time. There are always useful, fun activities/strategies that I am able to steal and use in the classroom tomorrow.”

This was the Northern California region’s first Best Practice event, with more to come in the future.
