More Funding Pours in for Southern California The Southern California community invests $125,000 in education and College Summit.
Although it is only mid-November, Southern California has already seen $125,000 in awarded grants since the beginning of the month. The region strengthened our funder base with $75,000 from first-time funder The Rose Hills Foundation, $20,000 from first-time funder Staples Foundation for Learning, and the remaining $30,000 from returning funder Dwight Stuart Youth Foundation. All money will be allocated towards Southern California’s work with current Los Angeles and Inglewood high school partners.
Manager of Staples Foundation for Learning, Briana Curran, said of the grant, “Staples Foundation for Learning supports College Summit’s effort to develop confidence in underserved youths’ ability to attend college and help them achieve overall success.”
