Designing a Partnership for Success

College Summit staff provide districts and high schools with extensive technical assistance to set up the schools for success. Our staff has experience working with schools to build a post-secondary planning infrastructure, cultivating a college-going culture, and doing it in a way that can last, unique to each school.

College Summit provides support to district and high school leadership at the outset of the partnership to ensure effective set up. Then, as the district adds more schools, College Summit staff continue to work with the schools and the district to adapt the set up to the needs of each school.

Senior College Summit staff, both at the local and national level, help partner districts with:

  • Incorporating college enrollment and retention metrics into the accountability structure of the district – including how to capture the data and how to evaluate it over time;
  • Best practices around scheduling the course into the school day;
  • Analysis of College Summit curriculum alignment with content standards;
  • Strategies to motivate and empower student leaders to influence classmates and younger students in the high schools and district;
  • Selecting the right teachers and counselors for participation in early implementation – critical choices to set up long-term success.
