College Summit Institute: a Virtual Experience

College Summit’s premier professional development conference, the 2008 College Summit Institute, brought together 600 participants, including passionate counselors, teachers, administrators, and community members to ready them to act on the belief that high school is not a destination, but a launching pad for college and career success.  The conference was held July 9-12, 2008 in Baltimore, MD.  

 College Summit Institute offered participants an array of expert presenters, new skill-building experiences, and deeper exploration of college-going culture. The sessions were designed to provide new ideas and methods in career and college planning, so that educators could return to schools better prepared to help increase the college enrollment rates for all students, regardless of economic background.  Plans are already underway for the 2009 College Summit Institute.
